On December 16, 2023, Professor Aliagha Mammadli, the head of the Anthropology Center at the ANAS Institute of Archaeology, Ethnography, and Anthropology, delivered a lecture titled "Ethnocultural Societies of Shahdag: Bridging the Past and Future." The Department of History and Archaeology organized the event, with participation from department teachers, including Yagub Mammadov, a Doctor of Philosophy in History, Orkhan Zamanov, Ulviyya Safarova, and first-year students from the Faculty of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences specializing in "Teaching History" and "History-Geography," along with other guests interested in the topic.
Since the exploration of ethnic groups stands as a crucial aspect of socio-cultural anthropology, the lecture and ensuing discussions held significant importance.
