The head of the Political Sciences and Philosophy Department, Dr. Orkhan Valiyev, has authored an article entitled "Türkiye-Azerbaijan Relations during the Republic Period," published in the special issue (December 2023, number 436) of the "Türk Yurdu" journal focusing on "Turkish Foreign Policy in the 100th Year of the Republic". Note that, the journal has been in operation since 1911.

In this article, Dr.Valiyev provides insights into the historical stages of relations between the two countries, including the Caucasus Islamic Army, the post-Republic era, the Cold War period, the era of independence, the Karabakh victory, and the Shusha declaration. The author concludes that, with the signing of the Karabakh victory and the Shusha declaration, the relationship between the two countries has transitioned into a stage of institutionalization.
