On November 13-17, 2023, Khazar University Architecture and Design Department lecturer Mehdi Samadi participated in the International Mobility Week held at the Spanish Escola de'Art i Superior de Disseny de Castello University (EASD Castello) within the Erasmus+ staff exchange program (KA107).

Focused on creative projects, the program featured participants from various countries showcasing their projects across different art fields through seminars and workshops.

Mehdi Samadi presented his project, a unified composition merging the applied art of Azerbaijan and Spain. Initially, he conducted a seminar on the applied arts of both countries, followed by the collaborative construction of the composition. Starting with stone construction, the process advanced through carving, concluding with painted patterns on the stone. The workshop participants, including teachers and students, showed keen interest in the creative process. Ultimately, the completed work was installed at EASD Castello University and became a part of the university's permanent collection.

Mehdi Samadi's chosen theme aimed to highlight and promote the artistic value of Azerbaijani carpet creativity.
