On November 13, 2023, Istanbul Commerce University Rector Prof. Dr. Abdulhamit Avshar met with Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of the university and chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, at Khazar University. He provided detailed information about Istanbul Commerce University, including its specialties and faculties, and presented his newly published book as a gift. The meeting was attended by Alovsat Amirbeyli, director of Public Relations and Media as well.

Then Prof. Dr. Abdulhamit Avshar met with Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, the rector of Khazar University, where discussions centered around the development of relations, the signing of bilateral agreements, and other pertinent matters. Dean of the School of Science and Engineering Fakhranda Efendiyeva, Dean of the School of Economics and Management Jeyhun Mammadov took part in the meeting.
