On February 24, 2023, a meeting dedicated to the results of the British Council's "Creative Spark" project was held at the "Fairmont Hotel" in Baku.
British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Fergus Auld, Country Director of the British Council Nargiz Hajiyeva, Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education Ulkar Sattarova, representatives from 7 universities of the country took part in the meeting.
At the opening of the conference, Nargiz Hajiyeva, the country director of the British Council, made a speech and expressed her remarks about the project. Then Fergus Auld, the ambassador of Great Britain to Azerbaijan, delivered a speech.
The partner universities presented a 5-year report on the partnership in the "Creative Spark" project and the achievements gained as a result of this partnership, and discussed the entrepreneurship education initiative implemented in Azerbaijan within the program and their own experiences, educational models between Great Britain and Azerbaijan, and the future development of the established partnership. Note that the 5-year project was coordinated and successfully implemented by Raziya Isayeva, director of the Development Office at Khazar University.
Khazar University was represented at the event by Vlad Vernygora, vice-rector for International Relations, Sabina Guluyeva, project manager of the Development Office, and Humay Huseynova, assistant to the rector.
In the 2nd part of the event, the representative of Khazar University, Vlad Vernygora, spoke about the path of the "Creative Spark" project at Khazar University for 5 years, and presented a report on the work done within the project and the successes achieved. Then, information was heard from Dr. George Dafoulas and Mahdi Aiash, employees of London Middlesex University, who were Khazar University's partner during the project.
The event was concluded with a discussion about the sustainability of the project and future activities.
