On November 4, 2022, an event on November 8 Victory Day was held by the Department of History and Archeology of Khazar University.

The event was attended by the mother of lieutenant Murad Nagiyev, martyr of the Second Karabakh war, Khavar Mahammadi and his family members. The dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Assoc.Prof. Elsa Semedli, the head of the Department of History and Archeology, Dr.Telman Nusratoghlu, and the lecturers of the department, Rukhsara Guliyeva and Bayram Guliyev, spoke about the history of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, the great victory of the Azerbaijani army in the 44-day war, and its significance for the people of Azerbaijan and the youth. Bayram Guliyev’s impressions of visiting the Karabakh region were presented via a slide show made up of photographs.

The most effective part of the event was the screening of the film about martyr Murad Nagiyev with the participation of director Kamran Agabalayev. The poems written by the martyr were read out in the movie, and received with interest by the participants. The mother of the martyr expressed gratitude on behalf of the family for commemorating her son's memory in this way.
