On June 13-14, 2022, as part of the Erasmus+ Exchange Program, three professors from the Portuguese Technical University of Braganca (Instituto Politécnico de Bragança) - Nuno Adriano Baptista Ribeiro, Hélder Gomes and Getúlio Igrejas - visited Khazar University.
On the first day of the program, the delegation met with Vice-Rector for International Relations Vlad Vernygora, Dean of the School of Economics and Management Jeyhun Mammadov and Dean of the Graduate School of Science, Arts and Technology Saida Sharifova. The next opportunities for cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
Dean of the School of Science and Engineering Fakhranda Alimardanova acquainted the guests with the laboratories of the university. In addition, the delegation attended a conference on the Creative Spark project at Khazar University. At the end, a meeting with the library was held under the leadership of Tatyana Zayseva, director of the Library Information Center.
On the last day of the program, the International Relations Office organized an excursion to the Ateshgah Temple and Gala Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex, located in the Surakhani district of Baku and the spiritual and religious center of pilgrims who came from north-western India to trade on via the Great Silk Road through the Caspian Sea with the participation of instructors of the School of Science and Engineering Masoud Mehrizadeh and Mehdi Kiyasatfar. The guests were given detailed information by the guides. At the end of the program, the staff met with Khazar University Rector Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, and professors were awarded certificates.
