On December 28, 2019, the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis and the New Year celebrations were held at Khazar University Marble Hall. The event was attended by University leadership and staff.

Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University, and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, while delivering his statement, spoke about University’s achievements gained during the current year and the prospects for its development envisaged for the next year, he conveyed his congratulations to the staff and wished them success in their personal lives and career.

Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, the Rector of Khazar University, Isakhan Isakhanli, Vice-Rector for Administration and Student Affairs, Alovsat Amirbeyli, Director for Public Relations and Media, Associate Professor Dilbar Zeynalova, Head of Languages and Literature Department, Fakhranda Alimardanova, Vice Dean of the School of Sciences and Engineering, delivered congratulatory speeches and expressed their best wishes.

Professor Mahammad Nuriyev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affair, lighted the candles and cut the cake.

The participants of the lottery, organized by the University's trade union organization, were given winning prizes by the Chairman of the organization Alovsat Amirbeyli.

The concert program was presented, being led by the Associate Professor Zulfiyya Sadigova, Head of Music and Fine Arts Department, honored teacher, pianist, accompanied by the University's Chamber Orchestra, and with the participation of Mahsati Jabbarova, Soloist of the Academic State Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev, Khazar University Teacher, and Rufat Piriyev, PhD student of the Baku Music Academy.

The staff danced and cheered. The celebration ended with a joyful mood.
