On September 16, 2019, the opening of the 2019/2020 academic year was held at Khazar University. After the performance of University’s anthem, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University, Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, delivered speech, congratulating students and their parents and wishing them every success.

Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, the Rector of the University, also delivered talk and spoke about the educational environment created at the University for students and the implementation of programs to ensure their comprehensive development.

Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, Hassan Niknafs, Dean of the School of Sciences and Engineering, Jeyhun Mammadov, Dean of School of Economics and Management, and Elza Samedova, Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, presented student tickets and valuable gifts to those students, who gained high scores during entrance exams in different majoring subjects.

Speaking on behalf of the students admitted to the University, Nicat Hajiyev said they would justify the trust shown to them by successful education.

Following that, Isakhan Isakhanli, Vice-Rector for Administration and Student Affairs invited new students to proceed to the auditoriums.

Khazar University Dance Ensemble and Mahsati Jabbarli, Khazar University teacher, soloist of the Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.F.Akhundov, performed a variety of dance and music numbers at the event.
