The Student Union (SU) is the main student organization of Khazar University; it is an elected body, and its leadership is chosen through elections in which all students have the right to vote governed by the Student Senate, which is composed of the SU President, Vice-President and Committee leaders.
The Students’ Union President and the Vise-President are members of the University Council, ensuring that students' perspectives are represented at the highest levels of the University.
The scope of the Students Union's activities extends beyond Khazar University. SU operates in close cooperation with local and international organizations, including the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Union of Student Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and student-youth organizations from other local and foreign universities.

Education Committee:
- Assist students in overcoming academic problems
- Organizes meetings between the students, faculty, and staff members
- Organizes clubs based on various areas of interest
- Support the process of conducting student surveys jointly with the Quality Assurance Center

- Supports international students in adapting to university life and the social environment during their studies at Khazar University.

Sustainable Development and Climate Change Committee:
- Aligns its activities with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), placing special emphasis on promoting social responsibility, environmental protection, and sustainable development principles.
- Raises environmental awareness among students, supports green projects, and organizes educational events on climate change. Particular emphasis is placed on SDG 13 – Climate Action.
- Initiates discussions on the topic of “green economy,” and screenings of environmental films and podcasts.
- Encourages student participation in this global platform, enabling them to engage in international climate policy and express their views on a global level.
