Engineering Societies

Student organizations like the ones listed below provide students important opportunities to engage and network with their peers and build valuable relationships for their future lives and careers.

Society of Mechanical Engineers (SME)

By Knowledge We Advance!

SME (Society of Mechanical Engineers at the Khazar University) was first established in 2019 by some enthusiastic students with the help of Dr. Mehdi Kiyasatfar. SME is dedicated to improving the college experience of Mechanical Engineering students, promoting discourse, and communication with potential Mechanical Engineering students, and encouraging young minds to gain an interest in STEM fields by outreach events to the community.

The SME provides technical knowledge and training to its members, especially students of the Mechanical Engineering program at Khazar University. The SME is active in organizing seminars, exhibitions, gatherings, workshops, and social and sports events. The SME encourages the students to join such organizations and to participate in related events.

Moreover, the SME gives the opportunity for creative students to introduce their ideas which include organizing new workshop, projects implementation, and organizing scientific

competitions. Another goal of the SME is to engage motivated Mechanics students in different projects. This type of activity-based learning is the most crucial part of engineer education. If you are interested in joining, contact us! m.kiyasatfar@khazar.org
