Nargiz Karimova, PhD and Chinese language instructor at Khazar University, was among the scholars representing Azerbaijan at the Eurasian Seminar on "Digitalization, Greening, Joint Transformation, and Sustainable Development," organized by the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and held in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China, from September 17 to 23, 2026. Nargiz Karimova delivered a presentation at the seminar titled "Chinese-Azerbaijani Literary Relations in the Context of the 'Belt and Road' Initiative."

Attended by scholars, researchers, representatives of higher education institutions, and specialists from various fields from different countries, the seminar served as an international platform for discussing current areas of scientific, economic, technological, and humanitarian cooperation in the Eurasian space.

As part of the visit, Nargiz Karimova also gave an interview in Chinese to Guizhou's official television channel. During the interview, she emphasized that literature is one of the important ways of getting to know a country's culture. She noted that the development of digital technologies is making the exchange of literature and culture easier and more accessible. Through short videos, internet platforms, artificial intelligence, and translation technologies, it is possible to share Chinese and Azerbaijani literature, as well as cultural stories, more quickly.

Nargiz Karimova also noted the importance of expanding opportunities for direct communication between Chinese and Azerbaijani youth, stating that organizing youth forums, cultural events, literary exchanges, and student exchange programs would contribute to mutual understanding and the development of cultural ties between the young people of the two countries.
