Second-year students majoring in History Teaching at Khazar University visited the Azerbaijan National History Museum on September 22, 2026, in preparation for a seminar assignment in the course "History of the Ancient World." The visit was organized by Orkhan Zamanov, the instructor teaching the course.

The main purpose of the visit was to gather additional materials related to the topic for the seminar assignment given by the instructor, to see archaeological artifacts from ancient times firsthand, and to enrich the theoretical knowledge learned in class with materials from the museum.

In line with the seminar topic, the students familiarized themselves with the exhibitions located on the museum's lower floor. During this visit, they examined key archaeological finds from ancient times, including pottery, tools, weapons, ornaments, and other examples of material culture. The students gained information about the daily life, economic activity, craftsmanship, and culture of ancient peoples, and recorded the materials necessary for the seminar.

The archaeological finds displayed at the museum give students the opportunity to study the life and material culture of ancient societies more closely. During the tour of the exhibitions, particular attention was paid to items relevant to the seminar assignment's topic, and their historical significance was reviewed.

Such museum visits are important for enabling students to become directly acquainted with historical sources, to complement their theoretical knowledge with practical observation, and to prepare their seminar assignments more comprehensively. Studying the archaeological materials at the Azerbaijan National History Museum allows students to grasp various aspects of ancient world history in a more tangible way.

After the visit, the students organized the materials they had gathered for the seminar assignment and gained the opportunity to use the information obtained from the archaeological artifacts they saw at the museum in future presentations and discussions.
