Khazar University has been awarded 5 stars in the QS Stars audit conducted by the QS Quacquarelli Symonds ranking agency.
The QS Stars audit assessed 9 core categories of activity — teaching, research, infrastructure, internationalization, employability, effective governance, environmental impact, program excellence, as well as diversity, equity and inclusion. Khazar University achieved the highest possible result in 8 of these categories.
This achievement is the result of the university's purposeful efforts to raise the quality of education, strengthen its research potential, expand internationalization opportunities, increase graduate employability, promote sustainability principles, develop infrastructure, and improve student support services. At the same time, this result demonstrates the university's success in meeting international standards and developing in line with modern higher education priorities. In addition to marking significant progress toward sustainable development, this achievement further strengthens Khazar University's position as one of Azerbaijan's leading higher education institutions.
QS Stars is an international audit and rating system that evaluates the performance of higher education institutions based on measurable indicators across various categories. Unlike other rating systems, QS Stars does not compare higher education institutions with one another, but instead assesses their performance indicators and compliance with established criteria. This approach allows universities to demonstrate their strengths and institutional advantages regardless of their position in ranking tables. By providing a broader and more detailed picture of universities' strengths, QS Stars enables students, partners, and other stakeholders to identify higher education institutions that show strong results in areas aligned with their own goals and expectations.
