As part of the excursion organized by Lamiya Hashimli, an assistant at the Department of Economics and Management at Khazar University, students visited the NORM Cement Plant.
The purpose of the excursion was for students to become familiar with the management, operational and financial activities of production facilities and to connect the theoretical knowledge they acquired at the university with the real work environment.
During the visit, students first participated in a presentation held in the plant's seminar hall. The presentation provided detailed information about the activities of the enterprise, the stages of cement production, the acquisition and processing of raw materials, modern technologies applied in the production process, as well as factors affecting product quality.
In addition, the participants also learned about production planning, resource management, quality control systems and activities carried out to increase operational efficiency. In particular, the information provided on the management of production costs, the formation of product cost, the role of investments in the production process and the impact of efficient use of resources on the financial results of the enterprise aroused great interest among the students.
After getting acquainted with the safety rules, the students went to the production area and observed various stages of cement production on site. They had the opportunity to follow the theoretical knowledge they gained during the seminar on practical processes, and to further enrich their knowledge on the organization and management of production.
At the end of the excursion, the students noted that such trips are of great importance in terms of understanding the practical application of academic knowledge, observing business processes in a real work environment, and gaining the necessary experience for their future professional activities.
Such excursions, in addition to supporting the professional development of students, allow them to form a broader idea of the principles of operation, management mechanisms and financial processes of industrial enterprises.
