A seminar on "Art Therapy and Its Application" was organised on June 6, 2026, for students studying psychology at Karabakh University by Malek Karimova, Coordinator of the Department of Psychology at Khazar University and Head of the Khazar Psychological Service Centre. The aim of the seminar was to familiarise students with the theoretical foundations of art therapy, its areas of application, and its use in psychological practice. Participants were provided with detailed information on the role of art therapy in individuals' emotional expression, self-understanding, stress reduction, and the promotion of psychological well-being. Various practical activities were carried out within the framework of the seminar, and students became closely acquainted with the methods and techniques employed in art therapy. Interactive discussions and creative assignments heightened participants' interest in the subject and supported the development of their practical skills. At the conclusion of the event, students' questions were answered, and the significance of art therapy in contemporary psychological services, as well as its future prospects, were discussed.
The seminar was met with great interest by participants and was regarded as a valuable experience in support of their professional development.
