A staff member of the Faculty of Physical Culture at Palacký University Olomouc, Czech Republic, Miroslav Roncak, visited Khazar University on June 8, 2026, within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. The visit will continue until June 19.

As part of the visit, a meeting was organized by the International Relations Office. In addition to the office's staff, Dr. Rovshan Abbasov and Dr. Rovshan Karimov, lecturers from the Department of Geography and Environment, also took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, the guest was provided with detailed information about Khazar University's activities, academic programmes, and international cooperation opportunities. Existing collaboration prospects in the fields of geography, environment, and tourism were discussed between the parties.

In the course of the discussions, Azerbaijan's rich tourism potential, the distinctive features of the country's various geographical regions, the diversity of its natural landscapes, and ecotourism opportunities were touched upon. Future cooperation perspectives in the fields of education and research, as well as student and staff exchange opportunities, were also addressed.

During the visit, Miroslav Roncak familiarized himself with the university's campus and relevant academic units, met with colleagues, and exchanged views on topics of mutual interest.
