Seminar by Doctoral Student Enrolled at Istanbul University

A seminar by doctoral student Murad Aliyev titled "The Anatomy of Modern Leadership: Differences and Trends Between a Leader and a Manager" was held on May 21, 2026, organized by the Khazar University Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology and the Department of Economics and Management.

The presenter is pursuing doctoral studies in "Business" at Istanbul University, Türkiye, under a trilateral agreement between the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Khazar University, within the framework of the "State Program on Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019–2023."

The seminar highlighted that traditional management is built around maintaining rules and executing tasks; however, in today's rapidly changing work environment — characterized by hybrid work models, artificial intelligence, and increasing uncertainty — it was emphasized that a leader must not only manage the system, but also inspire people and adapt to change.
