Dilbar Zeynalova, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Languages and Literatures at Khazar University, Chinese language instructor and PhD in Philology Nargiz Karimova, and department staff member Fargana Alasgarli attended as guests the Azerbaijan final stage of the 25th "Chinese Bridge" international competition, held on May 25, 2026. Organised jointly by the Confucius Institute and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Azerbaijan, the competition comprised a written test, thematic presentations, and talent performances. Addressing the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Azerbaijan Lu Mei stated that the "Chinese Bridge" competition has been held in Azerbaijan for many years and contributes to strengthening mutual understanding between the two countries. She also emphasised that cooperation in the development of Chinese language education would continue.
