An open lesson dedicated to the work of Khazar University founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, was held at Khazar University on May 25, 2026, as part of the Azerbaijani Literature course. During the lesson, taught by PhD Gulshana Khudiyeva, Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli met with students and shared his thoughts on his poetry and his newly published novel "Dali Ceyran."
The event was also attended by the Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Dr. Milana Abbasova, the Head of the Department of Languages and Literatures, Assoc. Prof. Dilbar Zeynalova, and Hamlet Isakhanli's assistant Dilara Mastaliyeva.
As part of the lesson, translation students Zeynab Hajiyeva and Nazrin Ahmadli delivered presentations on Hamlet Isakhanli's creative work in both Azerbaijani and English. During the artistic segment, Nazrin Ahmadli recited the poet's poem "I have told you," while Fakhriyya Naghiyeva performed a dance number to the tune of "Tulip," composed by Nailakhanum Isayeva.
Scenes based on the poet's poems "I said-She said," "I loved you so simply," and "To those who love" were also presented, with the participation of students Qamar Salimzada, Jansu Badirzada, and Kubra Naghizada.
The event concluded with a discussion of the novel "Wild gazelle," during which students' questions were answered.
