The knowledge olympiads organized among schoolchildren in honor of Khazar University's 35th anniversary have been met with great interest. Jointly organized by Khazar University and the Ganja "Dunya" School, the olympiads were held at the Ganja "Dunya" School — in mathematics on May 23 and in English language on May 24, 2026.
Hundreds of students from 8th, 9th, and 10th grades, representing schools under the Ganja-Dashkasan and Gazakh-Tovuz regional education departments, participated in the olympiad.
Participants tested their knowledge through specially designed tasks in both subjects. The primary objectives of the olympiad are to foster students' interest in science, cultivate a healthy competitive environment, and support the academic development of young people.
To conduct the olympiads, Khazar University staff members were dispatched to the city of Ganja: Dr. Fakhranda Afandiyeva, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering; Dr. Milana Abbasova, Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences; Dr. Gunel Bahaddinova, Dean of the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology; Ali Huseynli, Head of the Mathematics Department, along with faculty members of the department; and instructors from the English Language and Literature Department.
The faculty deans held a meeting with parents, providing detailed information about Khazar University, its faculties and academic programs, and answered parents' questions.
It should be noted that the winners will be honored with cash prizes and certificates at a special ceremony to be held at Khazar University.
