Rector of Khazar University Dr. Razia Isaeva participated in an international conference dedicated to "Africa Day" on May 25, 2026. The event, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, brought together ambassadors of African continent countries accredited in Azerbaijan, members of the Milli Majlis, representatives of state institutions, heads of higher education institutions, experts, and African students studying in Azerbaijan. African students enrolled at Khazar University also attended the conference.
At the opening ceremony, speeches were delivered by Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education; a high-level representative of the African Union (in online format); and Adil Embarch, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco to Azerbaijan and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps.
Within the framework of the conference, panel discussions were held on the topics "Azerbaijan–Africa Relations: Current Dynamics and Strategic Potential" and "Agenda 2063 and Africa's Growing Role in the International Relations System."
The event also featured a presentation on the activities carried out by "ASAN Service" in African countries.
It is worth noting that "Africa Day" is celebrated internationally every year on May 25 in commemoration of the founding of the African Union.
