A meeting was held on May 15, 2026, between students of Khazar University and representatives of Kafkas University of Türkiye.
The meeting, attended by Vice-Rector of Kafkas University Prof. Selcuk Ural and Head of the Department of Contemporary Turkic Dialects and Literatures (Azerbaijani Turkic and Literature) Prof. Ilkin Gulusoy, was organized within the framework of the course "Comparative Grammar of Turkic Dialects" taught by Maral Asgarova, instructor at the Department of Languages and Literatures. Associate Prof. Dilbar Zeynalova, Head of the Department of Languages and Literatures, also participated in the event.
During the meeting with students majoring in Philology (Azerbaijani Language and Literature), an exchange of views took place on the historical stages of development of Turkic languages, the main directions of contemporary Turkological research, the significance of the comparative study of Turkic dialects, and the prospects of Azerbaijani–Türkiye scientific and cultural relations. The guests answered students' questions and shared their academic experience.
