On May 8, 2026, a meeting was held at Khazar University with a delegation from the American University of Kyrenia of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, organized by the International Relations Office.

The delegation from the American University of Kyrenia included Rector Prof. Dr. Serdar Yurtsever, Secretary General Aylin Ayhan, Rector's Assistant and Advisor Celal Sakka, and Associate Professors of the Faculty of Business Administration Fatih Dikmen and Almula Umay Karamanlıoğlu. Khazar University was represented by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Mahammad Nuriyev, Director of the Quality Assurance Center Lyudmila Sotova, Dean of the School of Economics and Business Dr. Ingilab Ahmadov, Dean of the School of Economics and Management Dr. Dilara Rasulova, and Head of the International Relations Office Dr. Firuz Suleymanov.

During the meeting, discussions were held on expanding inter-university cooperation, increasing student and academic exchange opportunities, as well as prospects for future joint activities.

A presentation on Khazar University was delivered at the meeting, providing guests with detailed information about the university's activities, international relations, and opportunities available to students.
