Khazar University hosted Zehra Kılıçaslan, a representative of Türkiye's Haliç University, from May 4 to 8, 2026, within the framework of the Erasmus+ exchange programme. The visit centred on expanding international cooperation opportunities between the two higher education institutions, sharing experiences, and discussing future joint activity directions.
On the first day of the visit, the International Relations Office of Khazar University provided the guest with detailed information on the university's activities, international partnerships, academic programmes, and Erasmus+ projects. During the meeting, views were exchanged on student and faculty mobility, participation in international projects, and future cooperation prospects.
In the following days, Zehra Kılıçaslan familiarised herself closely with the operations of Khazar University's International Relations Office, gaining insight into the processes of working with international students, managing exchange programmes, and cooperation mechanisms with partner universities. Mutual experience-sharing was carried out between the parties, and new cooperation opportunities were discussed.
As part of the visit, a seminar entitled "Study in Türkiye and Exchange Opportunities" was organised. During the seminar, Zehra Kılıçaslan provided students and faculty members with comprehensive information on higher education opportunities in Türkiye, academic programmes at Haliç University, Erasmus+ exchange opportunities, student mobility, and the advantages of international academic experience. The seminar continued with interactive discussions and a question-and-answer session.
On the final day of the visit, the university organised an excursion to the Ateshgah Temple — one of the country's renowned historical monuments — with the aim of introducing the guest to Azerbaijan's rich historical and cultural heritage. The guest was provided with information on Azerbaijan's ancient history, cultural values, and tourism potential.
Such international visits are of significant importance for expanding Khazar University's global cooperation network, creating new opportunities for students and academic staff, and developing international educational ties.
