Dr. Elvin Ahmadov, Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department at Khazar University, was invited to Sivas, Türkiye, by Professor Dr. Nazan Yalçın Erik of Sivas Cumhuriyet University to deliver a TEDx talk titled “The Key to Success.”
During the visit, Dr. Ahmadov held meetings with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Dr. Nevcihan Gürsoy, along with other university officials. Together with Professor Dr. Nazan Yalçın Erik, he toured the university’s geological laboratories, geology museum, and robotics laboratories within the faculty.
Following his engaging presentation, Dr. Ahmadov was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the university.
Ahmadov expressed his sincere gratitude to the university administration for the organization of the event and presented copies of his book, Uğur Açarı, to the students.
At Sivas Cumhuriyet University, new directions for academic collaboration were discussed, and it was considered beneficial to organize similar events on a continuous basis. The importance of further strengthening cooperation in emerging areas was also emphasized.
The subsequent visit took place in Kazakhstan. Dr. Ahmadov represented Khazar University at the International Geology Conference held in Atyrau, organized by the Kazakhstan Society of Petroleum Geologists. He delivered a presentation entitled “Development of a Transformation Framework for the Management System of Hydrocarbon Reserves and Resources in Azerbaijan.” The presentation followed by an extensive discussion. Prof. Mansiya Babasheva, President of the Kazakhstan Society of Petroleum Geologists, presented Dr. Ahmadov with traditional Kazakh attire symbolizing national heritage.
As part of the visit, Dr. Ahmadov was also invited to Atyrau Oil and Gas University, where he became acquainted with the institution’s academic and research infrastructure. University Rector Nurken Akhmetov, along with Professor Sofia Nursultanova, Assoc. Prof. Aliya Abilgaziyeva, and other representatives of the university, discussed areas and opportunities for cooperation at a roundtable meeting, during which proposals were put forward.
