By decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 22, 2025, 2026 has been declared the "Year of Architecture and Urban Planning." In connection with this, a series of events is being carried out at Khazar University. On May 6, 2026, a lesson taught by Assoc. Prof. Ulvi Babasoy, lecturer at the university's Department of Languages and Literatures, was dedicated to the topic of "Literature and Architecture." Assoc. Prof. Ulvi Babasoy approached architecture and literature from a multidisciplinary perspective, and the tendencies bringing these two distinct artistic disciplines under a single aesthetic framework were extensively discussed through student questions. The subject of narrative architecture attracted students' attention, and the means of self-expression in architecture and literature were analysed. The reflection of Baku and Karabakh architecture in Azerbaijani literature was also brought into discussion.
