A scientific-practical seminar by doctoral student Fargana Seyidli was held on April 20, 2026, organized by the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology of and the Department of Education at Khazar University, on the topic "Emotional Intelligence and Teacher–Child Relationships: Why Is It Difficult to Implement in Practice?"
Seyidli is pursuing doctoral studies in "Education" at the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom, under a trilateral agreement with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Khazar University, within the "State Programme on Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019–2023." The topic she presented was dedicated to the challenges arising from the application of emotional intelligence in the classroom environment, describing the emotional and cognitive load teachers encounter in real situations during instruction.
The gap between children's developmental levels and teacher expectations was also discussed. Participants were informed of the importance of applying emotional intelligence skills not merely as theoretical knowledge, but also within specific pedagogical contexts.
