Projects by Khazar University students successfully advanced to the final stage of the Greentech III Startup and Green Technologies Competition, held under the organization of the Azerbaijan Technology University Innovation Center and with the support of the Education Development Fund and the Youth Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The teams representing Khazar University distinguished themselves with innovative and environmentally oriented projects. The final stage of the competition was held on April 24, 2026, at Azerbaijan Technical University (ATU) in the city of Ganja.

The "Yüksəliş" team presented the BioPhyt project by first-year Biotechnology students Zaur Ahmadov and Khagan Aliyev — an innovative technological solution aimed at purifying contaminated water sources based on the principle of phytoremediation.

The other finalist project belonged to the "Ecoshop" team, represented by Aygun Muradova, a fourth-year student majoring in Chemistry and Biology Teaching.

It should be noted that the BioPhyt project was awarded third place in the competition.

This achievement by Khazar University students stands as a clear testament to their innovative thinking, sensitivity to environmental issues, and ability to make effective use of modern technologies.
