Within the framework of the “State Program on Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019–2023”, a seminar was organized on March 5, 2026, with the participation of doctoral student Sabina Omerova, who is studying at the University of Montpellier in France, based on a trilateral agreement signed between the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Khazar University. The seminar, organized by the School of Science, Art and Technology and the Department of Life Sciences of Khazar University, was dedicated to the topic “Effect of protein–protein interactions in the Brucella T4SS assembly and function”.
During the seminar, detailed information was provided about the characteristics of the Brucella bacterium and the mechanisms of infection it causes. It was noted that Brucella is a genus of intracellular pathogenic bacteria that can be transmitted from animals to humans and causes the disease brucellosis.
Faculty members and students of Khazar University attended the seminar. Discussions were held on the topic, and participants’ questions were answered.
