On March 6, 2026, a seminar-format event dedicated to the sport of kendo was held in the Marble Hall of Khazar University, organized by the Embassy of Japan in Azerbaijan. The event was attended by kendo specialist Masanori Yasue and students of Khazar University.

The seminar opened with Masanori Yasue's welcome address and opening remarks. During his speech, he provided detailed information about kendo — one of Japan's traditional martial arts — covering the history, philosophy, and core principles of the sport.

The event was organized in an interactive format. Students were introduced to the fundamental movements and techniques of kendo, and during the practical session, participants had the opportunity to put these movements into practice. Students posed various questions on the subject and engaged in an exchange of views with the specialist.

The seminar was met with great interest by participants and proved to be a valuable opportunity for a closer acquaintance with Japanese culture and martial arts.
