On 26 February 2026, the Head of the Department of History and Archaeology, Assoc. Prof. Telman Nusratoglu, gave interviews to local television channels on the occasion of the anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy.

In his appearances broadcast on ARB TV, AzTV, and Baku TV, he provided detailed information on the historical, political, and legal aspects of the Khojaly genocide that took place on 26 February 1992.

During the interview, Assoc. Prof. Telman Nusratoglu stated that the Khojaly tragedy was a grave crime committed not only against the Azerbaijani people but against humanity as a whole. He emphasized that the assessment of the events within the framework of international law and the investigation of the facts on the basis of archival documents and witness testimonies are of particular importance.
