Premiere of "The Light of Jalil" Performance

On February 21, 2026, on the occasion of International Mother Language Day, the premiere of a monoperformance titled "The Light of Jalil" was held at Khazar University's "Dunya" school.

Khazar University founder Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, rector Dr. Raziya Isayeva, "Dunya" school principal Aygun Isayeva, as well as prominent intellectuals and public figures such as Gurban Gurbanov, Kamal Yashar, Khazar Suleymanlı, Gulu Aghses, and Qamar Seyfaddinqizi attended the performance.

The stage production is dedicated to the rich life and literary legacy of the eminent writer and enlightener Jalil Mammadguluzade. The great author's struggle for the purity and development of the mother tongue, his contributions to the enlightenment of society, and the socio-political environment of his era were conveyed to the audience in vivid, figurative form.

The performance was prepared by the school's teachers and students. The script was written by Fidan Mammadova, directed by Murad Allahverdi, and the project was organized by Shukufa Ismayilova.

Following the performance, poems by Samad Vurgun, Nabi Khazri, Mikayil Mushfig, Musa Yaqub, Ramiz Rovshan, and Hamlet Isakhanli were recited. Special mention was also made of our compatriots in South Azerbaijan and their devotion to the mother tongue and fidelity to national and spiritual values.
