Within the framework of the "State Programme on Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019–2023," a seminar titled "How is memory formed, how can it be strengthened, and how can we have a strong memory?" was organized on February 20, 2026, with the participation of doctoral student Aygun Badalova, who is pursuing her studies at University College London (England) under a trilateral agreement between the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Khazar University, and arranged by the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology and the Department of Life Sciences of Khazar University.
During the seminar, detailed discussions were held on the brain regions involved in memory formation and the mechanisms of that process, the characteristics of short-term and long-term memory, the effects of emotions, sleep, and stress on memory, as well as the primary causes of forgetfulness. Through interactive exercises, participants were given a practical demonstration of the role of attention in the memory process, and practical strategies for enhancing memory were shared. Faculty members and students of Khazar University actively participated in the seminar.
