An online seminar was held on February 23, 2026, with the participation of partner universities as part of Work Package 4 of the DIRNA project. The seminar was organized under the moderation of Aytac Misgarli, Director of the Library and Information Center of Khazar University. Kati Clements and Saana Mehtälä, representatives of the University of Jyväskylä (Finland), served as trainers.
The topic of the seminar was "International Repositories, Rankings and Research Funding: The Impact of Open Research Practices on International Grants and Partnerships." The seminar featured discussions on the principles of open science, international publishing standards, and the importance of transparent dissemination of research outputs.
In addition, information was provided on the European Union's requirements regarding open sharing of research results, FAIR data management principles, as well as the European Open Science Cloud and Open Research Europe platforms. Participants were informed about UFO portal used at the national level and the significance of scientific journal rankings for doctoral students, and key bibliometric indicators related to academic publications were explained.
The seminar, which was received with great interest by participants, concluded with discussions on the topic and a question-and-answer session.
