The proceedings of the international scientific-practical conference titled "Visionary of Turan, Sage of the Century, Mönke Biy" dedicated to the 350th anniversary of Mönke Biy, have been published in Aktobe, Kazakhstan. The publication includes a scholarly article by Aynur Gazanfargizi, coordinator of "Khazar ICAF".
The article "The Shaman-Ozan Relationship in Turkic Culture and the Motif of Foresight in the Example of Mönke Biy," examines common threads in the artistic and folkloric heritage of the Turkic world from a scholarly perspective. Through comparative methods, the author analyzes the historical and cultural connections between shaman, ozan, and ashug traditions, and explains the origin and function of the foresight motif as exemplified by Mönke Biy.
The article provides an extensive exploration of various manifestations of Turkic mythological thought, the transformation of ozan-shaman relations, and the continuation of this tradition in folkloric creativity in subsequent periods. The study also substantiates, with scholarly evidence, the continuity of the foresight motif in the shared cultural memory of Turkic peoples.
It should be noted that the international conference was held in Aktobe from September 18–26, 2025, bringing together scholars and researchers from various countries. The primary purpose of the publication is to present the conference proceedings to the academic community.
