Within the framework of the "State Programme on Enhancing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019–2023," a practical seminar on creating high-impact conference posters was held on February 12, 2026, by doctoral student Aynur Mammadova-Dadashova, who is pursuing doctoral studies in "Education Management" at the University of Bristol (England) under a trilateral agreement with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Khazar University.
The seminar addressed ways to combine strong research content with effective visual design, as well as the key criteria evaluated by conference judges, illustrated through a poster example that was awarded by the British Educational Research Association (BERA).
The seminar also covered design principles for clarity and accessibility, along with strategies for structuring an effective five-minute poster presentation. Doctoral student Aynur Mammadova-Dadashova provided participants with practical recommendations on e-poster and print formats, strategies for effective communication with the audience, and a checklist for finalising a poster.
