On January 28, 2026, the QS ranking agency published the list of the best universities in Europe. According to the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026, Khazar University was ranked 361st overall. At the same time, the University placed 18th among higher education institutions in the Western Asia region.

In addition, Khazar University ranked 97th among 958 European universities in terms of citations per paper.

The ranking includes a total of 958 higher education institutions from 42 countries that are members of the Council of Europe. Azerbaijan is represented in the ranking by 15 universities.

The QS Europe Rankings evaluates universities based on a range of indicators, including research performance, international reputation, teaching resources, graduate employability, and other key metrics.
