On December 26, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev, Head of the Department of Political Science and Philosophy, was a guest on Andi Mioc's program "Azerbaijan Foreign Policy in Review" on the AnewZ channel.

Assoc. Prof. Valiyev said that 2025 was remembered for important achievements in terms of Azerbaijan's foreign policy, such as the Abu Dhabi meeting and the Washington Declaration. He emphasized the special importance of holding the Abu Dhabi meeting in a bilateral format between Azerbaijan and Armenia, noting that this was one of the main issues that Azerbaijan had been trying to achieve for a long time. According to Assoc. Prof. Valiyev, another important achievement can be considered the Washington Declaration or the Washington Summit. Evaluating this document as the last step towards lasting peace, the associate professor especially drew attention to the fact that the signing of this document by the two countries together with the United States can be considered an additional guarantee for the peace process.
