On December 9-12, 2025, a presidential election for the Student Council was held at Khazar.

In the elections conducted at the Neftchilar, Bakikhanov, Narimanov, and Nizami campuses, 54% of the university students and 3 candidates participated. Lala Imanzade, a third-year student majoring in Chemistry and Biology Teaching at the School of Science and Engineering, won the election by receiving 60% of the votes.

On December 26, a presentation ceremony for the newly elected Student Council President was held in the Marble Hall of the university. Milana Abbasova, Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, and Dr. Ali Huseynli, Head of the Department of Mathematics, provided information about the presidential election that was held.

Rector Dr. Razia Isayeva highly appreciated the activities of the outgoing Student Council President and Vice President whose term of office had expired and expressed her gratitude to them, wishing success to the newly elected president. Finally, the newly elected president Lala Imanzade made a presentation about her future directions of activity and the measures she envisioned.
