On December 23, 2025, Khazar University hosted a meeting with a delegation from Fudan University, one of the leading higher education institutions of the People's Republic of China.

The meeting was attended by the delegation of Fudan University, including Head of Project Cooperation Group Tian Xiaohong, Deputy Head of Project Cooperation Group Miao Miao, AI Expert Ye Suli, Biomedicine Expert He Nan, and Wang Jingchun, responsible person for foreign relations and Russian language interpreter. Khazar University was represented by the university's founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, Rector Dr. Raziya Isayeva, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Mahammad Nuriyev, faculty deans, and staff members of the International Relations Department.

Expressing her pleasure at welcoming the guests to Khazar, Dr. Raziya Isayeva stated that relations based on friendship between countries play an important role in the development of cooperation in education and science between the two countries. During the meeting, the rector provided detailed information about Khazar and emphasized that the university attaches particular importance to expanding cooperation with Chinese higher education institutions.

During the discussions, an exchange of views took place regarding the implementation of joint projects in the fields of engineering, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, energy and sustainable development, as well as further development of academic and scientific relations. Within the framework of the meeting, cooperation opportunities between the two universities, exchange programs for students and academic staff, joint scientific research, dual degree programs, and prospects for strengthening relations were discussed.

At the conclusion, memoranda of understanding were signed between Khazar and Fudan University. Mutual gifts were exchanged and commemorative photos were taken in the event.
