On December 17, 2025, the presentation of the book "The Path to Victory of Sovereignty: Realized Ideas, Legal Foundations, Political Parallels" by Vafaddin Ibayev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Law and Human Rights and Doctor of Philosophy in Law, was held at the LIC of Khazar University.

The event was opened with an introductory speech by Aytac Misgarli, Director of the LIC, who spoke about the scientific and social significance of the book and emphasized the relevance of examining the concept of sovereignty in the legal-political context in the modern era.

In his speech, Assoc.Prof.Telman Nusratoglu, Head of the Department of History and Archaeology at Khazar, systematically analyzed the historical stages of development of the sovereignty and explained the connections between historical facts and contemporary political processes.

Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev, Head of the Department of Political Science and Philosophy, brought to attention the political processes that took place on the path to our sovereignty and the efforts made in the recognition of Azerbaijan as an independent state in the international arena.

The main speaker of the event, Vafaddin Ibayev, author of the book, provided extensive and detailed information about the content of the work. The author noted that the book examines on a scientific basis the issues of formation, consolidation, and recognition within the framework of international law of state sovereignty, and particularly analyzes the legal-political development path of modern Azerbaijani statehood. He also noted that the work systematically explains the interrelationships among constitutional principles, international legal norms, and political practice.

The presentation ceremony was held in an atmosphere of scholarly discussion, and the participants emphasized that the book is an important academic source for researchers in the fields of law, political science, and history.
