On December 16, 2025, Associate Professor Telman Nusratoglu, Director of the Department of History and Archaeology at Khazar University, provided extensive analyses on international agenda issues in the "Hedef" and "Gundem" programs broadcast on AzTV and ARB 24 channels.
Speaking on AzTV's "Hedef" program, Associate Professor Telman Nusratoglu evaluated the negotiations held in Berlin regarding the Ukraine-Russia war. The Department Director stated that this process reveals the geopolitical weakness of the European Union and demonstrates the EU's dependence on the United States in security matters and on external sources in the energy sector. Associate Professor Nusratoglu emphasized that although Europe has a seat at the negotiating table, it is not the main decision-making party. He also noted that Europe needs cooperation with Türkiye in the fields of security and defense industry, but despite this, does not demonstrate a constructive position toward Ankara on visa liberalization and Customs Union issues.
