Dr. Milana Abbasova, Dean of the School of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences, Dr. Firuz Suleymanov, Director of the International Relations Office, and U.S. Fulbright grantee Michael Sipper were invited to the Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner held by the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan at the "Shirvanshahs" Museum-Restaurant on December 10, 2025.

The dinner began with opening remarks by Michael Huckett, Public Affairs Officer of the embassy. He emphasized the importance of bilateral relations between the United States and Azerbaijan and particularly highlighted the crucial role that educational exchange programs such as the U.S. Fulbright Program play in fostering mutual understanding and cooperation.

During the dinner, Khazar University staff members had the opportunity to establish connections with representatives of the U.S. Embassy, other Fulbright grantees, and faculty members from their host institutions.

Discussions were held with Sabina Abdullayeva, Coordinator of English Language Programs at the U.S. Embassy, Randy Cole, Cultural Affairs Officer, Aydan Asgarova, Director of Information Programs, and Michael Huckett, Public Affairs Officer. Commitments to further strengthen educational and cultural ties between the United States and Azerbaijan were reaffirmed.
