On December 12, 2025, an academic seminar on "Chinese-Origin Archetypes and Images in Azerbaijani Literature" was organized at Khazar University's Department of Languages and Literatures, presented by Chinese language instructor PhD in Philology Nargiz Karimova.
The event was attended by the university's rector, faculty members, researchers, and students. In her presentation, Nargiz Karimova addressed the fundamental aspects of archetype theory, extensively elaborating on the manifestation forms and interaction mechanisms of Chinese-origin archetypes and images in Azerbaijani literature. She also emphasized that archetypes represent one of the most topical research directions in contemporary humanities.
During the seminar, selected examples from Chinese literature were analyzed comparatively based on original sources, and the potential impacts of new scholarly approaches to the study of archetypes were discussed.
The event continued with interactive discussions. Participants addressed questions related to the topic, creating an active academic dialogue environment. The seminar was received with great interest by participants and was evaluated as a productive platform for scholarly exchange of ideas.
