An article co-authored by a staff member of the Department of Psychology published in "History of Science" journal

An article titled "Modern Approaches to the Application of Exposure Therapy Using Virtual Reality Method in the Treatment of Substance Use Disorder and Elimination of Relapse Period," co-authored by Ramin Allahverdiyev, lecturer at Karabakh University, and Mirsadiq Mukhtarov, staff member of Khazar University's Department of Psychology and psychologist at Khazar Psychological Service Center, has been published in "History of Science" journal, which is published by "AcademyGate Publishing and International Metafizika Center" under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. (Vol. 6, Issue 5, Serial 23, 2025, pp. 40–51).

The article examines the psychological and neurobiological foundations of substance use disorder (SUD), cognitive processes that increase relapse risk, and the limitations of traditional psychotherapeutic interventions.
