On December 9, 2025, a seminar on "Fundamental Consumer Rights and Their Protection Mechanisms" was held for students of the School of Economics and Management with the participation of representatives from the State Agency on Anti-Monopoly Policy and Consumer Market Supervision under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (APMCMSSA), organized by the Career and Alumni Center of Khazar University.
The main objective of the event was to inform students about the consumer market, anti-monopoly policy, consumer rights protection, and state mechanisms operating in this field.
At the meeting, agency representatives - Yusif Tapdigli, Head of the Consumer Market Supervision Department, and Elshan Jafarov, Head of the Consumer Rights Protection Department and a graduate of Khazar University - provided comprehensive information about the main activities of APMCMSSA, consumer market supervision mechanisms, existing legislative acts, and measures implemented in the field of consumer rights protection.
During the lecture, students were informed about measures implemented to protect the competitive environment in the country, increase transparency in the consumer market, prevent unfair competition practices, and promote legal awareness among consumers. Additionally, cases of consumer rights violations and their resolution mechanisms were discussed based on real examples.
The seminar continued in an interactive discussion format. Students' questions were answered, and they were given recommendations on how to protect their rights as consumers more effectively.
