On December 7, 2025, under the organization of Khazar University, a cultural integration trip to the renowned Mastargah village in Guba district was organized with the participation of the university's first-year international students and academic staff. The visit was attended by the university's founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, Rector Dr. Raziya Isayeva, faculty deans, and staff members of the International Relations Office.
The main objectives of the visit were to strengthen mutual integration between international students and their peers, including local students, to develop intercultural communication and networking opportunities among them, as well as to introduce the rich language, customs, traditions, and cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people. This initiative serves as an integral part of Khazar University's internationalization strategy, facilitating the social adaptation of students from various countries and their more comfortable integration into the academic environment.
The event commenced with a cordial speech by Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli. Emphasizing the significance of the multicultural environment the university has created for international students, he noted that such visits play an important role in introducing Azerbaijani culture to the world. Khazar University Rector Dr. Raziyya Isayeva delivered remarks, stating that all these initiatives supporting the adaptation of international students to educational life in our country constitute one of the university's priority directions.
Within the framework of the program, international students presented their national music and dance performances, creating a colorful atmosphere where the cultures of various countries came together. Additionally, various saz melodies were performed by university instructor and ashug Ramin Bayramov for the promotion of Azerbaijani cultural heritage, and interactive presentations on Azerbaijani folklore were conducted for students.
At the conclusion of the event, various entertaining games were organized with student participation, and commemorative photographs and videos were taken. The visit was received with high spirits by participants and further strengthened their attachment to Azerbaijan and Khazar University.
Such cultural visits are a clear example of the attention and support Khazar University provides to international students, as well as the university's continuous efforts in forming a multicultural and open educational environment.
