On December 1, 2025, the opening ceremony of the Ukrainian Corner took place at Khazar University with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Ukraine in Azerbaijan. The event was attended by the university's administration and staff, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Yurii Husiev, and embassy employees.

The event began with a speech by Ambassador Husiev, who emphasized the importance of cooperation in Ukraine-Azerbaijan relations and the necessity of further strengthening educational, scientific, and cultural exchanges between the universities of the two countries.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Khazar University Prof. Mahammad Nuriyev delivered remarks discussing the linguistic connections between the Ukrainian and Azerbaijani languages, as well as the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of science and education, emphasizing that such initiatives will help establish closer ties between the youth of both countries.

At the conclusion, the university administration expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian Ambassador for organizing the corner. It was noted that this corner represents an important step toward promoting Ukrainian language and culture at Khazar University, as well as expanding inter-university relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
