On November 25, 2025, Mirsadiq Mukhtarov, a staff member of Khazar University’s Psychology Department and psychologist at the Khazar Psychological Service Center, gave an interview to the “Informator.az” news website. The psychologist provided detailed information on the forms of aggression in human behavior, its causes, and its socio-psychological effects.
He stated that aggression is not limited to physical violence or speaking in a loud tone, but can also manifest in indirect behavioral forms such as manipulation, silence, and passive resistance. Mirsadiq Mukhtarov noted that long-term stress, emotional burden, loss of sense of control, as well as hormonal and genetic factors play an important role in the emergence of aggression.
The psychologist emphasized that a family environment where violence is considered normal, childhood traumas, and anonymity on social networks accelerate the formation and normalization of aggression. He also stated that improper recognition and expression of emotions lead to an increase in aggressive behaviors, and that parents’ emotional regulation skills directly influence children’s behavioral patterns.
